When Michael Binger walks into the room, there are two things you should know. First, he is the smartest guy in the place and second, he is probably the best poker player in the room. After graduating from North Carolina State University, Michael got a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Stanford University and was quickly able to apply his knowledge at the poker table So, it’s a safe bet that Michael understands the value of education and it’s also a safe bet that he destroys tournaments and cash games around the world.
In 2006, Michael reached the final table of the WSOP Main Event where he finished 3rd, good for 4.1 million dollars. Since 2006, Michael has numerous major tournament cashes including 8 in a single WSOP, tying him with Phil Hellmuth and Humberto Brenes for 2nd most in history. Michael is also the defending WSOP Lake Tahoe-Circuit Event champion and has finished in the top ten in Cardplayer’s Player of the Year Race in 2008. His total live tournament winnings exceed 6.1 million dollars.
Michael Binger’s combination of smarts and poker skills makes him a lethal combination at any poker table. However, what makes Michael such a great player is his knowledge of the game and desire to help educate others. His successes both on and off the felt make him a tremendous asset to players around the world!
We are extremely proud to introduce Michael Binger as a Team DeepStacks Pro and are excited to have this great player call DSU his training site.
